One of AMR features is the ability to record every event happened on the Electronic Meter in customer. Any event in the meter will be recorded and automatically delivered to the Control Center in the PLN office. The officers are only supervising these automatic recording datas without visiting to the locations.
Electrical tampering catchs out in one of PLN's customer in Sidoarjo potentially caused losses PLN; approximately Rp 15,7 Billion, it is one of AMR success story. Media reported; this customer employed experts to extract electrical power from PLN's transformer which located in around factory area. Based on AMR application information PLN Sidoarjo inspected and proofed this electrical tampering.
This case was processed in court, and the trial process. The judge finally decided PLN this case won because datas from AMR record that could be as legal proof and make sure the violation by this customer
